Tristin Thomas
While given lessons on the guitar and piano at the age of 7, Tristin began pursuing music more seriously with guitar at 13. Once he reached college, the dabbling became multi-instrumental. From cello in orchestra, electric bass in pep band, to baritone and tenor in choirs and vocal jazz, Tristin learned to play and compose in a variety of environments.
After college, he continues to play solo gigs on guitar, play mandolin with the SycoBilly’s String Band, and plays bass backing a variety of Oregon musicians, including Garreson, Don Baker, Noah Adams, and Juan Martinez.
In addition to live shows, he also appears on two records with the SycoBilly’s, Burning Moonlight and I Hear Your Voice, as well as recording project Dance the Night Through released under Donuts and Dragons with composer and songwriter Joshua Mitchell.
When not writing songs and playing gigs, you can usually find him on his motorcycle cruising Oregon’s scenic backroads and highways.
